The Clyde Arc Glasgow. I have shot this bridge many times from various angles the other night i was down hoping for a good tide and no wind. When i say hoping i knew the tidal predictions and the wind speed before driving into Glasgow for the shot… Best tide conditions for shooting  “glass shots” on the Clyde and most other tidal rivers are within a 2 hour window of

The underside

The underside, originally uploaded by John Farnan Photography. A view of the Clackmannanshire bridge which elegantly crosses Forth River just upstream from the older Kincardine bridge. Ultra modern in design its functional and sleek but somewhat lacking in the character of its cousins further down the firth of the Forth (Forth bridge and the Forth road bridge) I only took the one shot to set up the composition (this one)

I had left my broken flower pots in the car and

The Empire State Building, originally uploaded by John Farnan Photography. The instantly recognisable Empire State Building and a small part of the Manhattan skyline. towards the bottom of the frame is a cross section of the famous Manhattan Bridge and further down just for good measure… A colour popped yellow cab 🙂 Taken at the long end of my 70-200 from Brooklyn this iconic building towers over everything else All
