The mount and the milkyway
St Michaels Mount, Mounts Bay Marazion Cornwall.
The Galaxy the universe, everywhere.
Loving the dark skies in Cornwall allowing this type of photography.
This one was taken just after the moon had risen and not that long before dawn so the milkyway is less evident though still as dazzling as it was a few nights later when there was not moon and perfectly clear skies. Although the darker skies make for a bolder MW the approaching Dawn lends a less harsh and more delicate feeling to the image.
No faking no double exposures blended are any of that other stuff you see on the plethora of MW images this is a single shot image taken in the dark looking across the bay.
I really really should update the time on my camera to show the correct time since the summertime is now here
